One last detail to take care of on the legs, the grooves that circumscribe the legs just above the ankles need to have an aluminum look to them. As with droid #1, I decided to go with foil tape.
Pinstriping would probably work better, but I am too lazy to go out looking for the right size. Instead, I pretty much eyeballed the width, and measured out a little extra length at 13", and used an X-acto knife to cut a strip to size.
I used wax paper and a mechanical pencil to lay the tape smoothly into the grooves. Groovy.
At this stage of the build, everything is starting to look good enough.

Foil tape is the best alternative you can for the leg's part.
