I arrived ridiculously early, in order to be allowed to drive R2 in at a drop-off spot, and secure a decent parking place. Since R2 was the first Star Wars character to arrive, I ended up parking him next to a cool mini-fighter.
The other characters arrived on time around 11:00am, and their changing room was one of the backlot sets.
The entire area we were in was a large backlot that is used for TV, commercials and film. These buildings are just facades.
At 12:30pm, the guests were allowed to enter, and the pictures started.
Chris Romines and R2-A1 joined us for duo droid duty.
The 501st and Rebel Legion were well represented.
Vader, taking his droid for a walk.
Toward the end of the day, the characters gathered for a group picture.
Another good day for a worthy cause.
