It's hard to improve upon the near-perfection that are Craig Smith's battery boxes, but I decided to do some minor filling work on them.
There is a very slight discontinuity around the outer surface of the curve of the battery box near the holes for the knurled fittings.
I decided to smooth this over with a light application of Evercoat.
After the Evercoat had dried, I covered up the holes with tape and started sanding with 400 grit sand paper.
I removed the tape for final sanding with 600 grit sand paper.
Whatever discontinuity there was is gone now. Ready for primer and painting.
I didn't unmask the dome ring yet, I decided to let the paint cure for at least one more day.
