Down Syndrome Buddy Walk at Angel Stadium

Today R2-D2 came out to support Trevor's Troopers, the team walking for Trevor Henricks, son of fellow R2 Builder Matthew Henricks. The event took place at Angel Stadium, in Anaheim, CA.

R2 joined the Rebels and 501st members in the changing room, which is actually the room where the players' families get to hang out during the game.

Once everyone was suited up, it was time to go out and start greeting the crowd. The Buddy Walk more or less looped around the outside of Angel Stadium, from the left field area, around home plate, and on to the right field area. I'd guess several thousand people were in attendance. The skies were pretty gray, but other than some slight drizzle, the weather held out for us.

The herd approaches...

We were stationed about half-way along the walk, and it seemed everybody stopped to marvel at the Star Wars characters and get pictures.

After the walk, we were invited out onto the field, where Trevor's Troopers had their tent area. That's Matthew's R2 in the picture, he brought his out too.

R2 and I are ready to play center field for the Angels.
