Finished Sanding and Filing Outer Dome

Tonight I finished sanding the edges of the outer dome panel areas, and used a square file to sharpen the corners.

I purchased this small file set at Home Depot a while back.



I went around all four sides of each panel cutout, sanding the edges fairly smooth.



Then I used the square file to get the corners nice and sharp. Care must be taken not to file off too much material.

I'm done working on the outer dome for now, it will go back into storage for a while. I might cut out the holes in the inner dome in the not-too-distant-future; we'll see.



Note to self: I'm not supposed to be working on R2 #2 yet, remember?
