He may not have a sound system yet, but R2 was singing "Reunited" tonight. What a difference a week makes.
So... what's next? I think I'm going to focus on the dome electronics. I have the Ben/Jason/Dave logic displays (they are great!), and I have Dan's PSIs on order, they should arrive in the not too distant future. I guess I need to start thinking about how I'm going to mount these in the dome. Needless to say, I'll be studying Mike's design.

Do your Utility Arms open?
I know you hinged them.
I worked on mine and I tell you,
That was a real pain!
I may have ruined my resin arms from drilling the holes to large.
And getting them adjusted right,
Oh Boy!!
I'll post some pics tommorrow on my blog. The way I'm doing mine have some good/bad points, But they will open/close using the Vex kits I bought.
Man, R2 sure looks better now!!

Calvin,
Yes, my arms do open (manually now, under R/C control one day). And it is quite a pain to get them seated in the perfect position. I still need to make "backstops" for them to keep them from rotating back into the body.
Mine arms still slightly scrape the skins if I don't tighten down the pivot point holders, and prop up the pivot pins with a scrap of paper.
I used a 1/8" drill bit. What size did you use?
I'll look for your pictures tomorrow!
