Today R2 joined some Star Wars characters for a visit to Santa's Workshop at Childrens Hospital, Los Angeles.
We were asked not to take pictures of kids or families without verbal consent, so I don't have much in the way of interaction to share from the visit, unfortunately.
The group got their last minute instructions before the visitors arrived.
R2 helped guard the door as young outpatients and their families lined up to visit the Star Wars characters, and Santa himself. Each child got to pick from what seemed like literally thousands of gifts that were in Santa's workshop. Lots of donated items.
"I've been watching you all year Vader! Don't even try to tell me you've been good!"
Lots of hospital staff took pictures with the characters too.
The family of these kids said we were welcome to take their picture. This was a typical visit to the room, although by this time Santa had to head back up to the North Pole.
Once again, a visit to a childrens hospital is more than sufficient to remind one of one's blessings.
