Time to break out the soldering iron again, in an attempt to get a brighter red LED in the front PSI.

First, I unsoldered the old LED and its associated resistor.

Then, I soldered in a new 3000mcd LED, and a 470-Ohm resistor. I tested with a 9-volt battery, and although it's impossible to tell with flash photography, the results looked pretty good.

I even tried this out in the dome, and again, things looked good.
Tomorrow is my last day of vacation, and I plan to reattach the dome panels.
