I went over them with 600 grit sandpaper.
After cleaning them with a most paper towel, I applied another light coat of primer, as the sanding took off a bit more of the primer than I expected.

Sanding and Primer in Preparation for Painting R5-D4 Utility Arms for Droid #2
Getting close! At this point I just want to get the surface smooth on the R5-D4 utility arms for droid #2.
I went over them with 600 grit sandpaper.
After cleaning them with a most paper towel, I applied another light coat of primer, as the sanding took off a bit more of the primer than I expected.
